Annette Loudon is one of Australia’s most highly qualified Yoga therapists and Yoga therapy trainers. She is one of Australia’s leading experts in yoga and breast cancer and has conducted world first, ground breaking research into the effects of Yoga on women with Breast Cancer related Lymphoedema. She is the President of the Australian Association of Yoga Therapists. Annette has specialised in teaching people with various types of special needs, including people with MS, people in wheelchairs, the profoundly deaf, intellectually disabled youth, people on probation, disabled athletes, the NSW cerebral palsy soccer team, people with back pain, auto-immune disease and allergies, cancer and anxiety and depression. She also conducts an AAYT registered training course on ‘Yoga and Breast Cancer’ and ‘Yoga for lymphoedema’ and has run workshops on ‘Yoga for the lymphatic system’.
Annette has worked holistically with physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths with a focus on rehabilitation. Annette is a senior member of Yoga Australia, IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), and AAYT. Annette has produced two therapeutic DVDS: Yoga for women after breast cancer and Yoga for secondary arm lymphoedema.
Annette has a long list of qualifications to her name. She has graduate and post-graduate qualifications in Education and Management, as well as being highly qualified in Yoga, Pilates, Massage and Exercise Science. She is also highly experienced in each of these fields. Her commitment to adult education has resulted in many fellowships to study course deliveries overseas.
She has presented at Australian Yoga Therapy conferences in 2011 and 2012, the Australasian Lymphology Association conference in 2012 and Yoga Australia conferences in 2013 and 2015. She also conducts an AAYT registered training course on Yoga and Breast Cancer and has run workshops on ‘Yoga for lymphoedema’ and ‘Yoga for the lymphatic system’.
