Yoga therapist, Mindfulness facilitator and former General Practitioner

Dr Natasha Zajc-Dalcourt is a Yoga teacher, Yoga therapist and mindfulness facilitator. She was also a practicing General Practitioner in Canada for 25 years. Natasha is committed to bridging the gap between conventional medicine and holistic wellness and is focused on fostering a more comprehensive, client-centred approach to health. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve optimal well-being by integrating medicine, Yoga, and mindfulness practices.

Yoga Education

In 2018, Natasha completed her Yoga teacher training in Canada. This marked a pivotal moment in her practice of medicine. She began to integrate holistic practices into her approach to health and well-being with her patients.

She continued her professional development in Yoga by undertaking an accredited Yoga therapy training in Melbourne. This training has enhanced her ability to integrate Yoga into therapeutic settings

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Training

Recognising the profound impact of mindfulness on overall health, Natasha became a mindfulness facilitator. She undertook Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training through the Centre of Mindfulness Studies in Toronto in 2017. Then in 2020 she completed Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Since then, Natasha has embraced mindfulness practices in both her professional and personal life.

Natasha continues to share the benefits of Yoga through her work as a seasoned Yoga teacher.

She is actively involved in facilitating MBSR groups and fostering mindfulness within diverse communities. Natasha facilitates MBSR programs through U3A (University of the Thid Age) in Melbourne, where she contributes to the well-being of the over 50s community.

She taught healthcare professionals through the LEAP program (Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care). She encouraged her students to grasp both theoretical knowledge and to develop practical competencies to provide compassionate end-of-life care.

Additionally, Natasha also organises and leads Yoga retreats locally.

Natasha received comprehensive training at the prestigious University of Toronto and spent 25 years working as a family physician in Canada. For over a decade, she specialised in palliative medicine.

In 2021, Natasha made a significant move to Australia and has made Melbourne her home. Natasha is a testament to the power of merging traditional medical knowledge with a holistic approach. She embodies a commitment to fostering health and wellness on physical, mental, and spiritual levels.
