How Yoga Therapy is different to other Modalities

In this video, Sal Flynn, leading Yoga therapy educator explains how a client's Yoga therapy practice can lead to enormous changes in the client's experience of suffering. And how Yoga therapy is different to other modalities.

“I sometimes see Yoga therapists become confused by thinking we have to be quasi exercise physiologists or physiotherapists or some type of body worker.  And while those skills are enormously valuable, they’re not Yoga therapy,  the medical model that they come from is wonderful. And thank goodness we have it.”
– Sal Flynn

In this short video, Sal Flynn, experienced Yoga therapy educator, explains the role of a Yoga therapist and how it is different to other health professionals. She describes how Yoga therapy clients can experience powerful changes. They may experience a reduction in suffering, which can include symptom relief but so much more as well!

“It is the Yoga practice itself that provides the support and help for our clients to find their way to reducing their suffering.  Again and again, I see the power of the simplest of practices that can lead to change in the clients that goes well beyond symptom relief.”
