Robyn Lewis is a registered Yoga therapist, Yoga teacher and educator with more than a decade’s experience in a wide range of settings including school, community, corporate, aged care/dementia and correctional environments as well as with clients with special needs (NDIS).
Educator and Senior Manager
Prior to becoming a Yoga professional, Robyn had a distinguished career as a high school educator and public sector senior manager. This workshop brings together her expertise and experience in all of these fields, giving participants a unique perspective on how to secure work as a Yoga therapist and Yoga teacher.
Over a period of eight years, Robyn has conducted yoga classes for people in aged care and dementia settings.
In 2020, Robyn was awarded a Churchill Fellowship for the exploration of yoga for cognitive stimulation in people with a diagnosis of dementia.
Yoga Australia
Robyn has completed a four-year term on the Board of Yoga Australia, is a senior, level 3 Yoga teacher, registered Yoga therapist, registered mentor and part of the Yoga Australia Council of Advisors. She trains yoga teachers in her 50-hour registered chair yoga course and also serves the community as a palliative care volunteer. She will commence research into best practice models of dementia care in a PhD scholarship in 2023. Robyn is a graduate of the Yoga Therapy Institute’s Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy.
